A group called PETA, or the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, are claiming that Nintendo and their beloved mascot Mario are supportive of people wearing fur. As most of you would know, Mario is wearing a Tanooki Racoon suit in Super Mario 3D Land and PETA is using this as an allegation that Mario must have killed one to wear its fur. Even though Mario’s power-up doesn’t seem to look like fur, PETA is persistent in saying that Mario is sending the wrong message to gamers. Seriously I can’t think of anyone who will play this to decide that they can skin racoons for their fur. PETA are always trolling, looking for attention and trying to stir up trouble in the gaming world so don’t even take this as a true claim to put down Nintendo.
